Introduction

Let me just start by saying I love Chick Flicks. The cheesier the better. I'm a hopeless romantic, and a sucker for rom-coms in particular. But who has the time to sit down and watch them all? I don't, but I'm going to do it anyway, so you don't have to.

'Why,' you may be saying to yourself, 'would I have to watch them in the first place?' Or possibly, 'If I'm going to watch them, how will I know the good from the bad?'

Obviously the answer to the latter is that it's entirely subjective, and I can only share my personal opinions on the topic. As for the former, I don't know about you, but I constantly hear references to these films in popular culture that I don't understand. What I hope to do is entertain and inform so that the next time someone in your office refers to Bob in Cubicle 8 as "Mr. Big," or a friend references "that scene" from When Harry Met Sally, you'll be in on the joke.

Think of this as a Cliffs Notes for chick flicks, all in the name of fun and games, to be taken with a grain of salt. If you plan on watching one of these movies eventually and don't want to be spoiled, be warned: you're in the wrong place.
